John Curtis athlete Joe McKnight is hands down the top prospect in Louisiana for 2007.
As a junior, McKnight (6-0, 190, 4.5) had his hand in the Curtis offense in just about every way imaginable.
He rushed for 502 yards and nine touchdowns on 36 attempts and as a receiver he hauled in 20 passes for 497 yards and five scores. He also made plenty of highlights on special teams as he averaged over 38 yards a kickoff return with one touchdown and 29 yards a punt return with four more scores.
This past weekend McKnight took an unofficial visit to LSU's spring scrimmage that marked the third time in three weeks he was on the LSU campus.
Sources tell Tiger Rag that the LSU coaches are recruiting the blue-chip as an athlete but they really like him at running back and definitely as a return man.
Check out the video below to see McKnight in action and to see why he is one of the top players in the country for '07.
