LSU After Texas CB

LSU has one commitment from a cornerback out of the Lonestar State for 2007 and the Tigers are after another one.

Barry Valcin gave Les Miles his verbal pledge about six weeks ago to give the Tigers one cover guy and another Texas boy on the Tigers' recruiting board is Mesquite-Horn's Justin Chatman.

Chatman, a 5-11, 170-pounder with 4.4 speed, made a big impression on the scouts in attendance at the Combine at Baylor when he posted a 4.4 time in the 40-yard dash.

Sure, recruits will say that they run a 4.4, but rarely does one actually show that type of speed because quite frankly that is absolutely flying. All it takes is a good look at the times guys run at the NFL Combine to see how many run a 4.4 or better and there aren't many.

Chatman is more than just a cover guy though. He is good at coming up and stopping the run which he showed as a junior when he posted 76 tackles and forced two fumbles.

Watch Chatman in action on his highlight reel and see why the Tigers are after the Lonestar standout.
