Ruston (La.) offensive lineman Matt Stone is a player the LSU coaches are hoping to get to a camp over the summer to evaluate a little more closely and it looks like they will get their chance.

The big 6-4, 316-pounder is hearing from several schools but so far none have offered.

"Ole Miss, LSU, Mississippi State, Southern Miss and the Hawgs (Arkansas) are recruiting me the most right now," Stone told Tiger Rag.

LSU offensive line coach Stacey Searels is looking to sign at least five o-linemen and he and the Tigers headman were recently in Ruston checking up on Stone.

"They came in to check and see how my grades were and were telling me what I needed to work on," said Stone, who claims a 2.3 GPA and a 17 on the ACT.

What advice did they give the big guy?

"They said I need to work on my feet and get a little faster," stated Stone. "They said they want me to come to camp this summer and I'm going to go to two of them. I'm going to go to the one day lineman camp and then one of the week long camps."

Stone admitted that it's tough to really think about favorites because he is waiting to see what offers he picks up but he had this to say.

"Right now, if I had several different offers to choose from I'd probably choose LSU."
