Recently named one of the top five
linemen at the
Fowler has not received any scholarship offers to date, but has been given a good deal of interests by several schools, with LSU, Ole Miss, Memphis and Mississippi State sending representatives to visit him during spring training.
This spring, he took a trip to LSU's Junior Day junior day and he walked away impressed with what he saw.
"LSU is probably my favorite right now, then Ole Miss," Fowler said. "I really liked the way LSU set up its study program for athletes. They really help players keep their grades up."
Though he has gotten noticed for
his offensive skills, Fowler said he has been used some on defense during spring
training, and is excited about the
"It's going to be good to hit somebody that's not on my team," he said.
What is it about him that has gotten the attention of college programs and particularly LSU offensive line coach Stacey Searels?
"[The coaches have told me] that they like how quick my feet are, and that I am flexible on the field," he commented. "I think that my strength is most definitely my footwork. I'm able to get to the linebacker quick, before he knows what's going on."
