Virginia Tech increases ticket allotment to LSU

LSU fans that requested tickets to the season-opener against Virginia Tech during the application period will receive tickets to the contest, LSU Director of Athletics Skip Bertman announced on Monday.

LSU was originally allotted 4,000 tickets for the game, however after experiencing an  overwhelming demand, LSU worked closely with Virginia Tech to increase the allocation to 6,300.

"By getting an additional 2,300 tickets for the game, we are able to satisfy all of our ticket requests," LSU Ticket Manager Brian Broussard said. "In addition to fulfilling all of our Virginia Tech ticket requests, we are also able to satisfy all of our ticket needs for the remaining road games with the exception of the Auburn contest.

"However, we are working with Auburn to secure more tickets in order to accommodate all of our fan requests for that game as well."

Broussard said that Virginia Tech tickets would be mailed by August 15 and that fans will be notified by the end of July regarding their ticket requests for the other road games.
