PROFILE 2003: Will Paul

This highly recruited athlete from Parkway West in St Louis has one more summer camp to attend before he begins two-a-days next month.

HR asked Paul what camps he's attended and how many he has remaining.

"The only school camp I've attended (he also attended the Nike camp at Michigan State) is the one at Illinois," Paul said. "I will also attend the LSU summer camp on July 21st through the 24th.

Paul really turned heads at the Nike camp by running a 4.6 forty, 4.53 shuttle, 24.6 vertical leap and benching 185-pounds 16 times. And all this on a six-foot-three, 245-pound frame.

Mr. Versatility, Paul will line up at tight end, fullback, defensive end and punter for Parkway West head coach Boyd Manne in 2002.

Having most the college football world presently recruiting him, Will was asked if he's narrowed his list somewhat.

"I'm really like Michigan, Wisconsin, Clemson and Illinois at this point," he said. "After that I'm really not sure.

And what position are they recruiting him as?

"All of those schools are looking at me as either a defensive end or tight end," he said.

Paul, who carries a 3.1 GPA, took both his SAT and ACT in June. He's already scored an 18 on his ACT the first time around.

Paul is currently ninth overall on the Heartland Recruiting Regional Top 160
