With close to 30 offers so far, Christian Scott said he hasn't even begun to narrow down his top five schools but LSU is definitely in the hunt to make the cut.

Last season the 6-1, 195-pound defensive back recorded nine interceptions for Dallas (Texas) Skyline High.

Schools like Florida State, LSU, Florida, Alabama, Auburn and practically the entire Big 12, have sent Scott an offer. He said he plans on sitting down with his coach to begin culling the schools he wants to be at the top.

"I have to work on that," said Scott. "I should have it by the time school starts."

Scott said he is being recruited by coach Monken and said he likes him.

"We last talked back in June," said Scott. "He wanted me to come to camp, but I wasn't able to make it. He was real down to Earth and I think we built a relationship. I really did like him."

What did Monken tell Scott?

"He said he liked my grades and he liked what he saw on film," said Scott. "He said he liked the fact that I could play so many positions. We talked about playing safety, corner, and maybe even some wide receiver. I ran a 4.4 at the beginning of my junior year, and I'm pretty sure I'm a little quicker than that now."

Scott said that LSU is definitely on his radar and that he is going to see about attending camp in July.

"LSU is always a great defensive program," said Scott. "That's something that means a lot to me, defense. I'll try and see if I can work something out to make it to the camp in July. I know for sure I'm going to Texas' camp on the 30th."

Scott said that while he plans to take a few unofficial visits, he hasn't made any definite plans as of yet.

Note** Scott said he has a 3.0 GPA and is awaiting his test scores from the SAT.
