Davis was part of a selection of six teams that Vitale made which featured a nation's best eight players from the Southeastern Conference.
Davis earned SEC Player of the Year honors a year ago as he led the league in both scoring (18.6 points per game) and rebounding (9.7). He also averaged double figure rebounds in the 16 conference games (10.2). He was also one of the league leaders in field goal percentage at 49.5 percent (250-of-505).
Vitale's first team was Tyler Hansbrough of North Carolina, Joakim Noah of Florida, Brandon Rush of Kansas, Aaron Afflalo of UCLA and Jarrius Jackson of Texas Tech. On the second team with Davis are Josh McRoberts of Duke, Corey Brewer of Florida, Alando Tucker of Wisconsin and Ronald Steele of Alabama.
Vitale chose his five man teams based on two guards, two forwards and a center and Vitale elected to put Davis as the center on his second team.
