Coach Les Miles chats with the media.
Quarterback JaMarcus Russell (2) and running back Charles Scott (32) leave the field.
Free safety LaRon Landry heads to the locker room.
Miles: "It was a good go today, but we didn't have a lot of tackling," Miles said. "We had 110-plus plays with offense, defense and special teams. We really got a look at everybody that we could. We came off of the field without significant injury so overall it was a good day."
Kickers Ryan Gaudet and Chris Jackson
Running back Justin Vincent stuck around and tossed around the football with some children on the sidelines.
Miles: "The defense played well," Miles said. "There were a number of sacks and once again Glenn Dorsey created some problems for us. I thought linebacker play was good, and the balls that were caught in the secondary were contested. The rough view without tackling was that the defense is still doing well. Those sacks will have a different feel when it comes game time."
Who cares about football? While dad talked to the media, the youngest of the Miles children took advantage of the sunshine and open field to run and play.
