PRACTICE REPORT: Monday, Aug. 21

After taking the day off on Sunday, the Tigers were back in action Monday afternoon at the Charles McClendon Practice Facility. After a 110-play scrimmage on Saturday, coach Les Miles gave his team a day to rest before settling into a normal practice schedule on Monday.

The media was allowed just two, six-minute periods Monday afternoon, so the time was limited. But we were there long enough to see that several players had returned from injuries.

Offensive lineman Will Arnold and Craig Davis had been held out of Saturday's scrimmage with different injuries. Buster Davis had strained a hamstring last week and missed four workouts, not including Saturday's scrimmage. Arnold was suffering from a kidney infection, but both were in action Monday.

Alley Broussard, who has been used sparingly, was in action Monday afternoon. Broussard carried the ball just six times in Saturday's live action scrimmage.

Matt Flynn, who got "nicked" up in Saturday's scrimmage, was dressed and present at practice. However, he did not throw any passes during individual drills Monday afternoon.

Check back this evening for a full report after coach Miles meets with the media after practice. Also, make sure and attend our "CHAT" session tonight at 8 p.m. on the TigerRag.com Message Boards.
