Josh Bynes Talks Recruiting

Although linebacker Josh Bynes isn't sure yet when he will be able to make a trip to Baton Rouge for his official visit to LSU, he is sure that LSU will be one of the schools he visits.

Last season, the 4-star linebacker out of Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) Boyd Anderson tallied 147 tackles, eight forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and two sacks, earning him all-county honors.

Josh Bynes is on pace this season to have another stellar year, as he recorded 15 tackles in his first game of action.

With a claimed 26 offers under his belt,'s ninth rated linebacker has one official visit set and knows of two more.

"I'm going to Iowa to see them play Ohio State," he said. "I had one set up to Auburn, but I had a conflict with the ACT for the game I wanted to go to. As far as LSU, I don't think it will matter what game I go to because I know LSU will come through and play a good game."

Bynes said he hasn't talked to an LSU coach since his performance in camp, but that he hopes to get a good feeling when he visits LSU officially.

"I just want to see the whole school," he said. "I want to see what it's like to be an athlete and walk around campus. I want to make sure I feel at home there. If I don't, then I might as well just stay in Florida where I already feel at home. I really just want to get a feel of what the school is going to be like."

Bynes said he felt good to be back in action in his first game and that although he felt like he controlled the middle of the field, the team wasn't able to win.

"We already haven't accomplished my goal of being 15-0 by the end of the season," he explained. "So we'll have to go 14-1 and win that state championship."

Note** Bynes said he is in all honors classes and will be taking the ACT early next month.
