After months of anticpation, eight to be exact, Tiger fans can finally sink their teeth into some football again. The LSU Tigers host the ULL Ragin' Cajuns in the season opener tomorrow night in Tiger Stadium. Here's our call on what we think will happen.

Sure, we will admit that Louisiana-Lafayette is a better football team than it was in its last visit to Death Valley in 2002. Coach Rickey Bustle should be commended on an excellent job in trying to bring some respectability to the downtrodden program in Lafayette.

However, no matter how hard ULL fans try to compare, the Ragin' Cajuns are still NOWHERE near the level of the state's superior football program. Gov. Blanco can throw as many parties as she'd like at the Governor's Mansion, but it still isn't going to stop the fact that UL-Lafayette is going to leave Tiger Stadium a loser on Saturday.

The final tally might not be as bad as it has been in the past (93-0 in 1936) and the Ragin' Cajuns might actually score points, something that has not happened since a 31-7 loss in 1924. But don't expect this one to be close.
