The LSU Tigers are set to hook up with the Arizona Wildcats for only the third time ever. LSU defeated the Wildcats 27-26 back in 1984 then railed Zona on their homefield 59-13 in 2003, en route to the national championship. Saturday night, the teams meet up again, this time in Death Valley.
Whether or not LSU is looking past
Arizona to get to Auburn, the Tigers would
have to lay a sizeable egg to lose to the Wildcats. Sure, Stoops has done a
great job in Tucson, and don't expect the 59-13 outcome like
the last time these teams met up. But LSU has too many weapons on offense, too
much talent in the secondary, and too many athletes that will out-muscle this
middle-of-the-road Pac-10 team that needed a field goal to beat BYU last week.
Tigers cruise into Auburn 2-0.
