Each week Tiger Rag will give you a rundown on how the former Tigers fared in the NFL. Here is a roundup of the first wek of action.

Week 1


RB--Joseph Addai (Indianapolis Colts)

Addai had a nice debut with the Colts with 26 yards on 7 carries and 3 catches for 22 yards in the 26-21 win over the Giants.


LB--Eric Alexander (New England Patriots)

Alexander played as a reserve but did not record any stats in the Patriots' 19-17 victory over Buffalo. The former Tiger is listed at 240 pounds.


DT--Kenderick Allen (Green Bay Packers)

The big 6-5, 328-pounder logged a pair of tackles for the Packers in their 26-0 loss to Chicago.


WR--Bennie Brazell (Cincinnati Bengals)

Brazell is on injured reserve for the Bengals.


S--Ryan Clark (Pittsburgh Steelers)

The fifth year veteran had 4 solo stops in Pittsburgh's 28-17 victory over Miami.


WR--Michael Clayton (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Clayton led the Bucs in receiving with 34 yards on 3 grabs with his longest reception going for 27 yards. Tampa Bay lost to the Ravens 27-0.


CB--Travis Daniels (Miami Dolphins)

Daniels was not active for the Dolphins' 28-17 loss to Pittsburgh.


RB--Domanick Davis (Houston Texans)

Davis is on injured reserve.


OG--Alan Faneca (Pittsburgh Steelers)

Faneca started at left guard as Pittsburgh defeated Miami 28-17.


RB--Kevin Faulk (New England Patriots)

Faulk caught a 17-yard touchdown pass and added 21 yards rushing on 3 carries in the Patriots' win. He also returned a kickoff for 23 yards and had 1 punt return for 14 yards.  


CB--Randall Gay (New England Patriots)

Gay had 1 solo tackle for the Pats.


DL--Jarvis Green (New England Patriots)

Green played both end and tackle but did not record any stats for New England.


WR--Devery Henderson (New Orleans Saints)

The former Opelousas native grabbed 3 passes for 44 yards in the Saints' win over Cleveland. His longest reception on the day was for 19 yards.


DE--Marquise Hill (New England Patriots)

Hill was inactive for the Patriots' season opener.


LB--Bradie James (Dallas Cowboys)

Bradie started at middle linebacker and was tied for second on the team with 6 tackles (5 solos and 1 assist) in the Cowboys' 24-17 loss to Jacksonville.


CB--Tory James (Cincinnati Bengals)

James had 2 solo tackles for the Bengals in the 23-10 win over Kansas City.


P--Donnie Jones (Miami Dolphins)

Jones punted 6 times and finished with a 36.7 yard average. He had a long of 58 yards and downed 3 kicks inside the opponents' 20-yard line. Miami dropped the game to Pittsburgh 28-17.


WR--Eddie Kennison (Kansas City Chiefs)

Boo Kennison had 1 catch for 14 yards and also ran once for 9 more in the loss to Cincinnati.


C--Todd McClure (Atlanta Falcons)

McClure started at center in the Falcons' 20-6 win over Carolina.


DT--Anthony McFarland (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Booger had 5 total tackles (4 solos and 1 assist) in the Bucs' 27-0 thrashing at the hands of Baltimore.


C--Kevin Mawae (Tennessee Titans)

The All-Pro center started in his first regular season game for the Titans as they dropped their opener to the Jets 23-16.


C--Rudy Niswanger (Kansas City Chiefs)

The rookie was not active for the season opener.


DE--Melvin Oliver (San Francisco 49ers)

Oliver started in his NFL debut for the 49ers at left outside linebacker in their 3-4 scheme. He recorded 2 solo tackles and 1 assist.


CB--Ronnie Prude (Baltimore Ravens)

The undrafted rookie saw action at corner in the Ravens' 20-0 shutout of Tampa Bay.


WR--Josh Reed (Buffalo Bills)

Reed was the 4th wide out for the Bills but he led them with 3 catches for 20 yards including a long of 20 yards in the 19-17 loss to New England.


S--Mark Roman (San Francisco 49ers)

Roman played as a reserve and logged 1 tackle for the 49ers in their 34-27 loss at Arizona.


TE--Robert Royal (Buffalo Bills)

Royal started the season opener and had 1 catch for 14 yards.


DE--Marcus Spears (Dallas Cowboys)

The 2nd year pro started at left defensive end for the Cowboys and registered 2 tackles.


RB--LaBrandon Toefield (Jacksonville Jaguars)

Toefield had a rough go of it in the 24-17 win over Dallas. He had 3 carries for -5 yards.


CB--Corey Webster (New York Giants)

The former All-SEC standout started at left corner for the Giants and had 4 tackles and 1 pass break up as the Giants lost a close one to the Colts 26-21.


OL--Andrew Whitworth (Cincinnati Bengals)

The rookie did not start but he did see some action at guard for the Bengals in their 23-10 win over the Chiefs.


DT--Kyle Williams (Buffalo Bills)

The rookie saw reserve action in his debut with the Bills and registered 2 tackles (1 solo and 1 assist).


DT--Claude Wroten (St. Louis Rams)

Wroten was credited for 1 tackle in his reserve duty for the Rams as they defeated Denver 18-10.
