"I had a good time up at Notre Dame," he said. "The atmosphere and the fans were great."
Barksdale said he has his trip to
"I talked with coach (Earl) Lane and coach Miles and they said that should be a good game to watch," said Barksdale. "I talked with them two weeks ago and they were just telling me about all the things I could do on my visit."
What will Barksdale be looking for on his visit?
"I'll be trying to get as much information about the school as possible," he said. "I want to get a feel for the atmosphere and watch the defense live. I also want to meet the players and see what they are like."
Barksdale said from what he's seen from the Tigers' defense so far this season, he is very impressed.
"I just love their relentlessness when attacking the ball," he said.
When asked if he could see himself fitting in he replied, "Yeah."
Barksdale does have an unofficial
visit planned for this season. He said he wants to go to the
Other official visits for Barksdale include a West-Coast trip to USC, where he will once again watch Notre Dame play. But what do all of these schools have in common for Barksdale?
"They have a good mix of academics and athletics," he related.
Note: Academics is something that is important to Barksdale as he has maintained a 3.5 GPA and scored a 22 on his ACT. All of that hard work has paid off and there is a good chance that he will graduate in December and enroll at the college of his choice in January.
