"I've been coming up for every game this season," said Ridley. "This one wasn't that great so I left at half time. I got to tailgate with some of my friends for about 30 minutes before I had to go pick up my tickets."
Stevan Ridley said this past weekend he even got a special treat.
"I got to walk onto the field with coach Miles," he said. "We talked about how my season was going and we talked about their past game. I told him it was going pretty good and that I really enjoyed my trip."
After committing to Ole Miss very early in the process, Ridley said he still hears from the Rebels but he is not even entertaining the idea.
"This is where I committed and that's where I'm going to be," said Ridley. "There's no where else I'd rather be. To have this opportunity to go and play in Tiger stadium is just a dream come true."
"It's a powerful offense; they've got a lot of talented players on that team," he said. "Their defense is hard to put points up against and those things make it a great program. I'd like to play running back, but I'll go where the team needs me. I like the way LSU spreads the ball around to all the players on offense. It's not just a one-man team."
So far this season, Ridley is putting up impressive numbers. Although he didn't know his exact stats, Tiger Rag has updated his performances each week and he has over 2,500 all-purpose yards and has accounted for well over 25 touchdowns.
"It's a great team really," said Ridley. "We have a great line, great coaching staff and great players around me. When a defense tries to focus on me, I know we have people who can step up and make big plays."
Note** Ridley said that classes are going well and he already has the GPA and test score to play as a true freshman.
