This time of the year there are always new names to pop up on the recruiting radar and one that has been fielding some calls from LSU recruiting coordinator Josh Henson is Mobile (Ala.) UMS Wright running back Terrell Edwards.

Coaches have taken notice of the spectacular senior campaign Edwards (6-2, 210, 4.6) is having on the field as he has rushed for over 1,800 yards and has racked up 30 touchdowns.

This past weekend the 3-star running back took an unofficial visit for the LSU/Alabama match up. He said he enjoyed his experience at Tiger Stadium last night and that after the game he enjoyed hanging out in Louisiana.

"The game itself was very exciting," said Edwards. "The atmosphere was crazy and being on the sidelines was just a fun experience. Hanging out in Louisiana after the game was real learning experience for me. I think this trip really helped me get a better idea of what I'm looking for."

Edwards said that right now LSU is one of his favorites; he's just waiting on an offer.

"If they offer, I'll definitely be back for an official visit," said Edwards. "I talked with coach Henson and he said that they would need some more game film from me. They didn't offer, but he was saying how he would see what he could do. It's not really something you can rush. I'm just going to send in my game film and hope for the best."

Edwards is being recruited as a running back, but coaches told him he will have an opportunity to make a name for himself on special teams as well.

"They mostly talked about me playing running back, but he said there would be room for me to return kicks as well," said Edwards. "We talked a little about playing wide receiver but not at all about defense or anything like that."

Edwards said he hung out with Chevis Jackson after the game.

"I got with a couple of players and some friends from Mobile after the game," said Edwards. "We just kind of hung out. Chevis Jackson took me around and I ended up staying with him."
