Lee talks about LSU & Terrance Toliver

Standout quarterback commit Jarrett Lee (6-2, 190, 4.7) had heard about how wonderful a night game at LSU was, but it wasn't until he experienced a game in Tiger Stadium for himself that he truly realized what he was getting into.

"I really had a great time," said Jarrett Lee. "I got to meet with the coaches and the atmosphere was amazing. I wasn't able to do much tailgaiting before the game because we had a late game the night before, but just seeing the campus on the walk from the hotel to the stadium was great."

Lee said that after the game he got to go into the locker room and see the post-game festivities.

"I went into the locker room as was able to talk to some of the players," said Lee. "I went and talked with coach Miles after the game on the field. It was really neat to talk to him under those lights."

As for the crowd, Lee said it was more than he expected.

"Man, I tell you I had heard about them being one of the best crowds in the SEC, but it was just amazing," said the nation's No. 15 rated quarterback. "It's really something you have to experience first hand to believe. It was really an unbelievable experience."

Lee is a true gunslinger

Lee said one of the things he has been doing is trying to help LSU recruit five-star wide receiver Terrance Toliver, who lives practically in the same town as Lee.

"I have totally been pushing LSU on him," said Lee. "We talk to each other and text message each other about what is going on. I know right now he's looking at Oklahoma, USC, and Florida, but I think that LSU has a real good shot at getting him."

Lee's final thoughts on the weekend?

"I really had a good time down there on the sideline," he said. "I got to meet some of the players and just got to experience the great atmosphere. It was a really good trip."

Finally, before we go we wanted to address some of the rumors surrounding Lee's pledge and how solid it is.

"I am 100 percent committed to LSU," he said. "I know that is where I want to go."

Lee said that once his high school season is over he will make plans for a return trip to LSU for his official visit. For now, though, the focus is on winning a state championship.

Brenham is 10-1 heading into its second round playoff match up against Sterling High School on Saturday.

Brenham has a much more balanced offensive attack than it has had in the past but Lee still has accounted for 29 total touchdowns on the season with 25 passing and four rushing. The 4-star signal caller has completed 162-of-265 passes for 2,176 yards and has only tossed 6 interceptions on the year.
