College coaches are on the road making in-home visits to the top players on their board and one that will definitely be getting a visit from LSU running backs coach Larry Porter, with a possible tag along from Les Miles, is Ole Miss commitment Drake Nevis of Marrero-John Ehret.
"I know coach Porter is coming on
Thursday and coach Miles may be coming too," said Drake Nevis.
The big 6-2, 290-pound 3-star
defensive tackle is coming off a banner season that will likely bring in several
post-season awards and even have some new coaches knocking on his front
In fact, Nevis has already taken home the All-Metro Defensive MVP
award after he recorded 110 tackles, 35 tackles for
losses, 11 sacks, 25 QB hurries, 8 forced fumbles, and 2 recovered

itinerary for the first weekend in January with the possibility of also going to
Clemson and Florida.

"Whatever happens on my visits will help me to figure things
Nevis said that he has already looked

college offers academic-wise.
What he is looking for is to see
which school can help fulfill his dream of playing in the
"I'm basically looking for a good
program that will benefit me the most later on," he said. "Most colleges have a
good education program but which one will help me the most in
