Black, Jean-Francois named SEC All-Frosh

LSU's redshirt freshmen Ciron Black and Ricky Jean-Francois have been named to The Sporting News' Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team, the publication has announced.

In 12 games, LSU's offensive line has yielded just 18 sacks, a figure that ranks fourth-best in the conference.

Offensively, the Tigers lead the SEC in both scoring (33.1 points per game) and total yards per game (404.2).

Jean-Francois, a redshirt freshman from Miami, Fla., has played in all 12 games with one start for the Tigers. Jean-Francois has 27 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for losses and three sacks. Jean-Francois has already blocked a kick and recovered a fumble for LSU.

Jean-Francois is also a part of a Tiger defense that has accumulated an SEC-leading 38 sacks through 12 games.
