Head to Head:

Notre Dame RB vs. LSU DT

Darius Walker vs. Glenn Dorsey

The Notre Dame offense isn't known for its running game. Under Charlie Weis, the Fighting Irish are more prominently known as a passing team under the leadership of quarterback Brady Quinn. But Darius Walker is a quality back who has eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark this season. Walker possesses the speed and the moves to give Notre Dame a solid run option, but he isn't in the league of running backs LSU has faced this season in Darren McFadden and Kenny Irons. Glenn Dorsey and Co. will make sure to hold this Notre Dame slasher in check.

Notre Dame LB vs. LSU FS

Jeff Samardzija vs. LaRon Landry

Jeff Samardzija is one of those freakishly talented type receivers. Considered one of the top wide receivers in all of college football, Samardzija is a big-bodied wideout with great hands who is as physical a player as you will find anywhere. But it is a good bet Samardzija has ran into a defensive back as physical as LSU all-American free safety LaRon Landry. Brady Quinn will get the ball to his top receiver, Landry will challenge Samardzija to try and hang onto the ball.

Player to Watch:

Brady Quinn

QB, Sr.

6-4, 227

Coffman HS

Dublin, Ohio

Prior to Charlie Weis' arrival min South Bend, Brady Quinn was a solid quarterback with a nice arm and good head on his shoulders. Weis has transformed the Dublin, Ohio native into arguably one of the top quarterbacks in the nation. Quinn has been impressive in almost every outing this season, aside from a horrific showing in the Irish's loss to Michigan. Quinn is the type of quarterback every coach wants and he can put a team on his shoulders and carry Notre Dame to victory almost single handedly.
