LSU Board to meet on ticket price increase

The Louisiana State University Board of Supervisors will consider an increase in LSU football ticket prices and parking permit fees at its January meeting, which is set for next Thursday (1/25) and Friday (1/26).

An official notice and tentative agenda for the two-day meeting is attached.  The Board convenes committee hearings on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Board Meeting Room, 3810 West Lakeshore Drive, Baton Rouge.  Friday's meeting convenes at 8:30 a.m. at the same location.

The new ticket plan, which will increase the cost of tickets $4 for some games and $9 for others is expected to raise more than $3.6 million for LSU athletics, which have a combined annual budget of more than $63 million.
Discussion of the ticket and parking fee increases is scheduled to come before the Board's Athletic Committee Thursday afternoon.

Overall, season ticket prices per seat will go from $297 last year to $305 for the 2007 season, not including a Tradition Fund contribution that is required for all seats in Tiger Stadium based on location.  In addition, a Tradition Fund contribution will also be required to purchase parking permits, depending on location.
