Lady Tigers remain No. 8 in polls

LSU's women's basketball team remained No. 8 in the Associated Press poll released on Monday afternoon.

The Lady Tigers (18-2, 4-1 SEC) defeated Kentucky, 76-58, at home on Thursday and got past Alabama, 61-45, in Tuscaloosa on Sunday.

LSU received 888 points in the AP poll and sit behind top-ranked Duke, No. 2 North Carolina, Maryland, Tennessee, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Connecticut.

No. 9 Stanford and Arizona State completed the top 10.

The Lady Tigers host Arkansas, who is just out of the top 25 with 80 points, Thursday at 7 p.m. CST.

The USA today/ESPN/WBCA poll will be released Tuesday afternoon.
