2008 Prospect Profile: Aadron Hackett (La.)

Leesville (La.) has several college prospects on its squad and one that is starting to get the recognition he deserves is safety/outside linebacker Aadron Hackett.

Aadron Hackett (6-0, 190, 4.6) picked off three passes, recorded 63 tackles and forced three fumbles as a junior while playing a combination of strong safety, outside linebacker and cornerback for the Wampus Cats.

Playing three positions can be difficult for some but Hackett feels that his strengths make the task a little easier on his end.

"I got real good feet and read the run and pass well," he said. "I like the contact too. If someone comes across the middle he is either mine or no one else is going to get him."

Hackett had a strong showing during the one-on-one drills at the New Orleans All-American Combine and since then word got out to some college coaches.

"Tulane and UL-Lafayette have been by school this spring," Hackett said. "I'm also hearing from Auburn and Ole Miss, and coach Cox said that he talked to Alabama and they will be calling soon."

Hackett has not picked up an offer yet but he knows exactly what he is looking for when the offers do come his way.

"Education and the coaches' philosophy are the two main things," he said. "I want to see how my relationship is with the coaches and the future of the program. The biggest thing is how I feel when I am around the coaches and how I relate to them."
