Lejiste Will Visit

John Lejiste is a speedy corner out of South Florida who looks to be a good addition to any defensive backfield.

The 6-0, 190-pounder runs a 4.44 40 and recorded 55 tackles and two interceptions for Atlantic Community High School in Delray, Fla.

So far, John Lejiste has received 12 offers from schools like Rutgers, Nebraska, Duke, Central Florida, Northwestern and Wisconsin to name some but is getting some heavy interest from quite a few others including LSU.

"Coach (D.J.) McCarthy came to the school in May," Lejiste said. "I called him after practice and we jut talked for a little bit and he told me he was looking forward to watching me and that he wanted me to try to get to camp this summer. I don't know if I will be able to make it but I know I will visit at some point."

Lejiste is still waiting on the Tigers to offer and he says that they have a lot to offer a player of his magnitude.

"I like their depth chart; they have a lot of senior DB's right now," he said. "They are in a good location; I think Louisiana is a great place. I also like the way they play. They seem to have a certain swagger about them.

"They put players in the NFL too. LaRon Landry was one of my favorite players to watch and to see him get picked it just shows that if you go to that school and put in the effort they'll make you into a player at the next level."

When Lejiste decides on a school to attend, he has criteria for what he wants.

"Basically the overall team chemistry that a team has will matter," said Lejiste. "How a team plays together is important. Also, the relationship that the city and school have together and what kind of support they give."
