Arnold Lists Tigers in Top 5

You can call him an athlete, you can call him a safety, just don't call Travis Arnold (5-10, 188, 4.31) slow.

Travis Arnold

Arnold plays both offense and defense and on the offensive side of the ball he rushed for 750 yards, and on the defensive side he recorded 70 tackles.

If Arnold had a choice as to which position he would play, he said he'd probably like to be a safety.

"I like to hit people a lot," said Arnold. "On the defensive side of the ball, in general, you get to hit people. One of the reasons I like LSU is that hey have a tradition of good defenses and I like to be around people who like to hit people. It makes me give 110 percent."

Arnold has received more than 20 offers but has momentarily reduced his list to five.

"Right now it's Florida, Florida State, Clemson, Miami and LSU," said Arnold. "The teams I like are LSU and Florida both a lot but right now Florida and Florida State are probably my favorites."

Recruiting Arnold from LSU is wide receiver coach D.J. McCarthy and he has talked with him a lot in the past month or so.

Arnold hasn't made it to many camps because of an injury he incurred close to the end of the season.

"I'm just going through some rehab right now," said Arnold. "I don't plan on making it to many camps because of all the stuff I'm doing right now. Everything is going pretty good right now though. I've been doing a lot of push ups and I'm going back to physical therapy the 31st of June."

Arnold said he'll probably have a decision after the season, after he takes his official visits.
