Mack Still Waiting

It has been a busy summer for El Camino (Calif.) offensive tackle Cedric Mack (6-4, 330). Busy as in the class room and not so much on the football field.

The Florida superstar has not had much time to do anything due to his summer school schedule.

"Lately, I haven't had the chance to really talk to anyone," said Mack. "I spoke to some coaches from Iowa St. and they wanted me to come make a visit over the summer to see the campus, but I just don't have the time due to summer school."

Any word from his top school?

"I'm still waiting to receive an offer from LSU," explained Mack. "It would be an honor to play ball there. "I haven't spoken to the coaches in quite some time, but I'm still very interested in them."

What is it about LSU that sparks his interest?

"The prestige man," Mack explained. "Before some of my games, I'd watch LSU games to get me motivated. I just like everything about their program."

Any plans to visit LSU?

"Not right now," said Mack. "I do not think I'll do any traveling until my season is over but I'll be going for an official then. I'm really into my books right now and trying to get that straight."

Mack started in 14 games last year while earning All-Mission conference honors.
