Aghayere Visiting LSU Soon

Garland (Texas) 5-star defensive end Chancey Aghayere (6-3, 220, 4.7) is one of the top players on LSU's board and he plans on making a trip to Baton Rouge soon.

Chancey Aghayere Profile

"I want to make a visit to LSU within the next two weeks," said Aghayere. "I'm not sure of the exact date, but I know it will be soon. I want to visit all of the schools I am seriously considering before my announcement date which is set on my birthday (September 17th)."

What makes LSU a candidate for the nation's 6th ranked defensive end's signature?

"I like LSU's style of play on defense," explained Aghayere. "I really like their aggressiveness. LSU has a good team and it's obvious they take football seriously over there."

What other factors will Aghayere be looking at during his upcoming visit to Tiger country?

"I really want to commit to a school that has a home environment," said Aghayere. "I want to be around a family type atmosphere. That is something that will play a major role in my decision. I am also looking at academics. I am not sure what I'll be majoring in, but I want to see which schools have the most to offer."

Aghayere admitted that he has formed a good relationship with one LSU coach.

"I talk to coach [D.J. McCarthy pretty often," Aghayere informed. "It is not always about football either and that is what I like. He seems to be genuinely interested in what I do away from football as well. Like the other day he was asking me about my summer job and how that was going."

Note: Last season Aghayere recorded 60 tackles (21 of them for a loss), and 5 sacks earning him first team all-district honors. He also maintained a 3.0 GPA and scored a 900 on the SAT.
