The Parkland, Fla. native was a 2007 Freshman all-Southeastern Conference selection, batting .277 (53-for-191) for LSU with five doubles, seven homers, 32 RBI and 27 runs.

Two other LSU players – sophomore outfielder/infielder Ryan Schimpf and junior catcher Kevin Farnsworth – have also earned all-star recognition this summer.

Schimpf singled and was hit by pitch in the CICL All-Stars' 7-2 victory over the KIT League All-Stars.

Schimpf is the leading hitter this summer for the Danville (Ill.) Dans, batting .302 (38-for-126) with nine doubles, one triple, two homers, 17 RBI and 25 runs.
