PRACTICE REPORT: Thurs. afternoon 8-9

The Tigers returned to work this afternoon and did so within the confines of the Indoor Practice Facility at the Charles McClendon Practice Facility.

The media was allowed inside for just three periods of inidividual drills so there was very little to report.

For the second straight practice right guard Will Arnold was absent as was Chevis Jackson and Glenn Dorsey. Kirtson Pittman also missed afternoon drills. True freshman defensive tackle Kentravis Aubrey also was held out of Thursday afternoon's workout.

Lyle Hitt remained in a green jersey as he did in the morning practice session.

Ryan Perrilloux continued to take snaps as the Tigers' No. 2 quarterback. As the debate continues as his status, he is still listed as the third string quarterback, but he is getting a large portion of reps.

Early Doucet was observed being a bit of a cheerleader during some of the receiver drills. He was clapping and firing up some of his younger wideout counterparts.

During one particular defensive back drill, Phelon Jones came up limping a bit. But he hobbled back to the end of the line and it didn't seem to affet his next rep.

At the end of the allotted time the media was allowed inside, the defensive linemen went through an exciting drill that got everyone whooping and hollering. Coach Earl Lane set up a series of lifesize dummies and instructed each player to weave through them using the swi-move technique. Needless to say, defensive linemen enjoyed the drill. See this afternoon's photo gallery.

The Tigers take part in only one session tomorrow morning at 9:50.
