Still the Same? recently caught up with Mr. Football a.k.a Darrell Scott (6'1, 203, 4.32). The elite California product provided an update of what has been going on in his life as well as where he stands with a favorites list.

Darrell Scott Profile

"It's still the same story with me," Scott said. "Nothing has really changed. I've just been working out and getting ready for my season. Two-a-days start next week. I'm ready for the season to begin."

Due to the text messaging ban, Scott's communication with college coaches has kind of dwindled off a little, but he said he did speak with LSU running backs coach [Larry] Porter just before the messaging ban went into effect.

"Coach Porter was telling me how I would have the opportunity to play early and things like that." Scott informed.

Is LSU still a school of interest and has Scott made an official favorites list yet?

"I am still interested in LSU and I still plan on making a trip to LSU for an official visit," he explained. "I might try to make it to the Auburn game. Overall though, nothing has changed with me as far as making a favorites list. My list is still wide open."

Is there something Scott is trying to discover in a school that will tell him this is the school for me?

"The one thing a school has to have for me is good team chemistry," Scott said. "That is very important to me as well as a good environment on the campus. I want to go to a place where I feel most comfortable.

Is the depth chart something Scott keeps an eye on as well?

"Yes, I definitely check the depth charts at schools," he informed. "I want to play as a true freshman. That is a personal goal of mine."

Note: The California product rushed for over 200 yards 10 times last season including a game where he rushed for 306 yards and scored 6 touchdowns with two 2-point conversions. Scott maintained a 3.0 GPA last school year and has not yet taken the ACT or the SAT, but does plan on taking both of them this year.
