Harbin Wants to Visit

Summertime may be cooling down for most of McGill-Toolen High School's everyday students, but for Glenn Harbin (6-5, 235, 4.8) things are starting to heat up.

Scout.com's four-star defensive end gave a brief update on how his summer went and where it is about to go.

"I went to the Alabama camp a while back," Harbin informed. "It was a hard camp. We performed a lot of agility drills and shuffling in and out of cones and things like that. All I really remember is running around a lot.

"And right now I've just been practicing with my team. I'm not quite where I want to be, but I am getting there."

Harbin said he is not even close to making a decision and has not narrowed his list of favorites down either.

"My list is still pretty wide open," he explained. "I'm open to just about everyone."

The nation's 23rd ranked defensive end currently holds over a dozen offers, but why is LSU a team he is still considering?

"I think LSU has a solid program," Harbin answered. "One of the main things I like about LSU is the players they have going there. I never really hear about their players getting into team fights or things like that. I think they have good team chemistry and it shows in the performance on the field. I receive a lot of letters from LSU and that is another reason for why I'm still interested in them."

Although Harbin has not yet narrowed his favorite's list down any he knows what he is looking for in a school.

"One of the things I am looking at more than anything is probably the depth charts," Harbin explained. "I want to go somewhere that I can play and not have to wait around. It does not have to be close to home either. I'm willing to go anywhere."

Does Harbin plan on making any official visits?

"Yeah that is something that I would like to do," he stated. "I want to see what some of these schools are all about. LSU is a team I would definitely like to see play. It doesn't matter against who though; I'd go to any of their games."

Last season, Harbin tallied 75 tackles (25 for a loss), and 11 sacks. He also earned All-Metro and All-State honors as well. He maintained a 3.0 GPA in the class room and scored a 17 on his ACT.
