Still the Same

Pahokee-Glades Central product Travis Benjamin (5'11, 160, 4.45) has been favoring three schools for the past month or so and with the start of senior season underway has anything changed?

Travis Benjamin Profile

"My top 3 schools are LSU, Miami and Florida," Benjamin said. "It has been a while since I've heard from any coaches from any of those schools. I've been kind of busy lately and I have not had the chance to check my email in a while."

This past weekend, the Florida star was busy on the field playing in his high school's Kickoff Classic.

"Yeah I did ok last week," Benjamin informed. "I caught 4 passes for like 50 yards. That was a good warm-up game, but our first real test will come this week. I'm confident I'll do better."

Benjamin said he watched the LSU Tigers shut-out the Mississippi State Bulldogs last Thursday night.

"I watched the whole game," Benjamin said. "I thought LSU looked really good out there and I saw some things I liked on their offense."

The speedy wide receiver said he knows he wants to make some official visits before he announces his decision, but said he still is not quite sure where those visits will be.

"I know for sure I am taking some officials," Benjamin stated. "Right now, I do not have anything set up for sure, but I know I want to go to the LSU vs. Florida game.

"I'm not sure when I am going to make my decision either," Benjamin added. "I really want to get a feel for the different atmospheres before I make my move."

Note: Last season, Benjamin recorded 19 receptions for 390 yards and 7 touchdowns. He also claims to have maintained a 2.8 GPA and a score of 17 on the ACT.
