Quarterback Matt Flynn was back at practice today wearing a brace on his right ankle. Flynn appeared to be limping only slightly. He went through all passing drills, which do not require much movement, and some but not all of the drills with the running backs.
However, despite Flynn being back at practice, it appeared as though Ryan Perrilloux was still taking most of the snaps as the #1 quarterback. This was more clear in the running back drills than the passing drills because during passing drills there were multiple quarterbacks throwing at once and both Flynn and Perrilloux participated at the same time in these drills.
Safety Craig Steltz was absent from practice again today. Yesterday Danny McCray replaced Steltz at strong safety, but today Harry Coleman was practicing in Steltz's place and McCray was back in his nickel position. When the defensive backs moved to their dime coverage drills, Chad Jones was in as the dime back, as he was in the game Saturday against Virginia Tech.
