According to Abernathy, the story is still pretty much the same this season.
"We've played two games so far this season," Abernathy said. "In game one, I had 25 carries for 218 yards and 3 touchdowns. In game two, I had 12 carries for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns. It would've been 3 touchdowns, but one was called back due to a penalty."

Note: Last season Abernathy was playing at 235 pounds. He informed TigerRag.com that he lost about 20 pounds in the off season and he is now weighing in around 215 pounds. He said he forty time is in the 4.4 range now.
