"It was crazy because people were calling my name that I didn't even know. It was the experience of a life time. Little kids knew me. Parents knew me."
How was Surrency's first experience in Tiger Stadium?
"I've never experienced anything like that in my life. It was the loudest, sickest game in my life. That stadium is crazy. The environment was crazy. The fans were crazy. I can't stop talking about that game. It was crazy."
"When we arrived Friday we checked into the hotel, toured the school and campus, went to practice to watch the walkthrough, and toured the weight room and locker room. Saturday we went to the academic center."
"The academic center is crazy. Having an academic center just for athletic stuff is crazy. The weight room and indoor facility is sick. Atmosphere, the people just love us. It made me feel like LSU might be place for me."
Surrency got the chance to hang out with quite a few LSU players over the weekend.
"My official hosts were Demetrius Byrd and Charles Alexander. They are real down to earth dudes that showed us a good time. I also hung out with Early Doucet, Ryan Perrilloux, and Ali Highsmith. They are all really laid back and down to earth guys."
Surrency also got the chance to sit down and talk with Coach Miles for a while before Saturday's game.
"I sat down and talked with Miles for an hour. He told me he wouldn't be recruiting a juco if I didn't have a chance to come in and play. I thought when Miles brought me in he was going to press me to commit. But they came in and just talked to me and didn't put any pressure on me. I was expecting a full court press. I'm happy they did that, and I respect them for not trying to put pressure on me."
What did Surrency think about LSU's offense?
"The offense started kind of slow. The receivers dropped a lot of balls. It took a long time to get in rhythm but they came through in the end."
After this weekend where does LSU stand on his list of schools?
"LSU is the frontrunner now. I'm
going to take an official visit to
Overall, what did Surrency and his teammates think of the trip?
"On a scale of 1-10, I give the trip a 12. We almost committed. After the trip we sat down and talked with each other. There's about a 75% chance we come to LSU. So there's a very good chance LSU has three 5 stars coming. Coach Miles almost had 15 stars at one time."
