These are some of the top head to head matchups in Saturday's showdown between LSU and Alabama.
Head to Head:
Alabama QB vs. LSU DT
John Parker Wilson vs. Glenn Dorsey
John Parker Wilson has had his moments this season. Against Florida State, the now-veteran quarterback looked as though he might lose his job in an anemic offensive showing in the loss to the Seminoles. But against Tennessee two weekends ago, Wilson looked sharp and has done a good job managing games in Bama's last three victories. So far this season, Wilson has completed 173 of 299 passes for 1,876 yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions. The Tiger defense terrorized Wilson a year ago in Baton Rouge, and Glenn Dorsey will help spearhead that charge on Saturday.
LSU RB vs. Alabama DT
Jacob Hester vs. Wallace Gilberry
Wallace Gilberry is the driving force behind the Alabama defense. The third leading tackler on the team, Gilberry has 47 total tackles, including 20 solo stops. The stat sheet also shows that Gilberry has 12 tackles for loss this season along with four sacks. Gilberry will be faced with having to stop LSU running back Jacob Hester, who has proved time and again this season he might be the toughest back in the SEC.
