Clement arrived in Alabama early so he had the chance to tour the campus as well as speak with Crimson Tide Head Coach Nick Saban.
"I walked around the campus and had the chance to see everything," said Clement. "The people there were really nice. They welcomed me a lot. I don't think I've ever been welcomed like that before. The campus was nice, but I think LSU's is better.
"Before the game my family and I spoke with coach Saban ," Clement continued. "He said he would really like to see me playing for them and he is going to hold a scholarship for me."
Prior to his trip to Alabama, the 4-star recruit spoke to some of the LSU coaching staff and informed them of his plans.
"I told them I was making a visit to Alabama for the game," said Clement. "They told me to enjoy myself. They thought it was a good thing because they said they have won every game that I have attended of theirs and that I was like their good luck charm."
Clement had previously informed TigerRag.com the outcome of the game may carry a certain weight in his final decision.
"It didn't really," Clement answered. "It is still pretty equal. I like both schools. I think the trip made my decision a little more difficult. Right now I am just focusing on my team and the playoffs. I will make my decision in January."
