Robinson Looking To Have Fun

Four-star linebacker Marcus Robinson (6-1, 210, 4.47) out of Homestead High School committed to Miami earlier in the year, but since then the stud linebacker has been reconsidering.

"I've been in touch with other schools and I'm taking an official to Florida St. and Florida in January," Robinson explained. "I'm really not expecting to see anything on my visits. I'm just looking to have fun.

"I want to see what other schools have to offer," Robinson continued. Miami is where I've been for all of my life. I think I might need a change."

Who else is Scout.com's #3 ranked line backer considering?

"Coach [Pete] Carrol from USC stopped by my house last week," Robinson answered. "I also spoke to coach [D.J.] McCarthy from LSU and they are planning to come to my house sometime in January I think. I like it when the coaches come to my house. They usually explain to me how I can fit into there program and they sit down with my parents and explain to them where their program is going."

What did the Florida product think of the coaching moves at LSU?

"Coach [Bo] Pellini's decision to leave for Nebraska really didn't bother me any because I barely spoke to him anyway," Robinson answered. "I usually talk with coach McCarthy or [Bradley Dale] Peveto.

"I was surprised with coach [Les] Miles' decision," Robinson added. "I couldn't believe he turned down his alma mater. I think it is a good thing that he stayed at LSU though."

Note: Robinson was unsure of his final senior stats, but Robinson finished his junior season with 19 sacks.
