Addai, Faneca Named to Pro Bowl

Former LSU standouts Joseph Addai and Alan Faneca have earned a place in the Pro Bowl, the NFL announced on Tuesday. The Pro Bowl will take place on Feb. 10, 2008 in Hawaii.

Both Addai and Faneca will represent the AFC in the game with Faneca starting at offensive guard and Addai serving as a backup running back.

Faneca, guard for the Pittsburgh Steelers, will be making his seventh trip to the Pro Bowl, which includes a spot in the starting lineup for six consecutive seasons. Addai is making his first trip to the Pro Bowl.

This year, Addai has rushed for 1,019 yards and 11 touchdowns in helping the Indianapolis Colts to a 12-2 overall mark. Addai has also caught 39 passes for 351 yards and three scores for the defending Super Bowl Champions.

Four times this season Addai has gone over 100 yards rushing, including a season-best of 136 yards on 19 carries in a win over Denver on Sept. 30.

Faneca has started all 14 games this year, leading the Steelers to a 9-5 overall. Faneca hasn't missed a start for the Steelers dating back to the start of the 2000 season. Faneca has played in 156 regular season games during his career, starting 151 times.
