"LSU and Auburn offered me scholarships last week," said Lawrence. "I am grateful and it is an honor to have received them."

The 4-star cornerback said he added one of those offers to his other top two teams. "I like LSU a lot," said Lawrence. "Right now they are in my top three with Alabama and Ole Miss. I like LSU's team, coach [Les] Miles, and their style of defense.

"I know they are going to have a new defensive coordinator, but I am willing to get to know him and see how things work out," Lawrence added. LSU plays a lot of man coverage and they have an in-your-face mentality. I definitely think I could fit in on their defense."

Besides normal high school senior interests such as dorms, academic centers and the campus in general, Lawrence has another topic of importance in his future school.'s 8th ranked corner is set to make an official visit to Alabama on January 11th and stated LSU is next in line for a visit.

"The team depth chart is important to me," said Lawrence. "I wouldn't mind having to sit out my first year, but I wouldn't want to go to a team that has sophomores coming off of a good year because then I'd more than likely be sitting out for a while. I'm the type of guy that wants to be on the field making plays.

"Coach Miles said there will be some open spots because two guys are leaving and I would have a good chance at getting some early playing time," Lawrence continued. "That is a plus with LSU."

2007 Stats: Lawrence recorded 91 tackles, (74 solo), seven forced fumbles, two fumbles recoveries, two fumbles returned for touchdowns and two interceptions. He also recorded 30 passes for 772 yards and 11 touchdowns as well as five kick-offs and one punt for touchdowns.
