Fluker With Tide For Now

Foley High School product D.J. Fluker (6-7, 331, 4.9) gave a verbal pledge to Alabama during the course of his junior season. He claims to still be in favor of the Crimson Tide, but he says he can not predict the future.

After visiting Alabama, Scout.com's 4-star defensive tackle gave the Tide a pledge but he claims that will not prevent him from looking elsewhere.

"I also have offers from LSU, Clemson, Auburn, Florida and a few others that I can not really remember," said Fluker. "I plan on taking all of my official visits next season because I want to make sure I am not missing out on anything."

Will Death Valley be one of his senior season stops?

"Yeah, I'd like to look at LSU," Fluker answered. "I've been to LSU's campus before and I thought it was nice, but I wasn't given a tour of the school or anything. LSU is definitely one of the schools I'd like to check out.

"I like LSU and Alabama because they both have great teams that have the opportunity to compete not only for the SEC Championship every year, but also for the national championship," Fluker added. "I think both teams are real competitive and I could fit in on either team."

Note: Fluker stated he will try to make it to LSU's Jr. day if his schedule allows. He is also scheduled to take the ACT in March.
