The two-sport athlete finished his junior season with 80 tackles, 12 sacks, 5 pass deflections, 2 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries. Those numbers are the kind that attracts collegiate attention.
"I've been receiving mail from a bunch of schools," Delery stated. "I was invited to an LSU summer camp, an Auburn camp and a Louisville camp. Clemson sent me a letter inviting me to go visit the school. I've also received personal letters from coaches at Georgia Tech and Auburn."
Delery claimed to be interested in all of those schools, but it would be a dream come true to get an offer from one school in particular.
"I would love to go to LSU," Delery stated. "I was born and raised in New Orleans so it would be a dream to go to LSU. I know it would be hard to go to LSU to play football, but I feel like I am good enough to play there.
"I think LSU has a dominant program and they always have a good defensive line," Delery continued. "I love Glenn Dorsey. He is one of my favorite players. I've been to a few LSU games and it would be really cool to go to school there."
While waiting for an offer from LSU, Delery claims he will entertain just about any school that is interested in him.
"I like LSU a lot, but I will consider just about any SEC school as well as Clemson," said Delery. "I'd like to stay down here in the South, but if an opportunity came to go play Division 1 ball somewhere else then I'd go because distance is not a problem for me.
Note: Delery maxed out in bench at 335 lbs and in squat at 485. He is scheduled to take the ACT in March and has maintained a 2.75 G.P.A. this school year.
