“I’m going to Florida next week for a little vacation but before we go I’m going down to LSU this weekend with my brother for their spring game,” Minter said.
Minter recently picked up an offer from Nebraska and he estimates that his count is up to 13 or 14 official offers.
The country’s 5th rated middle linebacker prospect visited LSU back in February so is there anything he is hoping to see this time around in Baton Rouge?
“I want to see what it’s like during the spring game,” he said. “I heard it’s crazy down there but I know it won’t be like it will be in the fall. I just want to hang out with the coaches some more too.”
After Minter visited LSU for Junior Day he said that the Tigers were at the top of his list and for some time after that trip his feelings stayed the same.
Is LSU still at the top and if so what has the Tigers sitting on top of the mountain?
“Yes,” he said. “That’s still the case. I like the coaches and I really like coach (Bradley Dale) Peveto because he is such a nice guy.”
With schools like Oklahoma, Nebraska, West Virginia, South Carolina, Clemson, USC and others trying to land the big-hitting linebacker are there any schools that fall into that category of having that ‘WOW factor’?
“Southern Cal,” he said. “It’s because it’s Southern Cal and it’s a big program. Pete Carroll is real cool too.”
Note: Minter finished his junior season (9-3) with 137 tackles and six sacks
