Giddins, a 6-4, 230-pounder with 4.6 speed, was a terror coming off the edge last season for Armwood (Fla.) Seffner.
The 4-star defensive end was in on 97 tackles and logged 21 sacks which brought home several honors including first team all-state, amongst others.
The nation’s 8th ranked end has some impressive offers already under his belt but there was a little confusion as to which schools have actually offered.
He cleared the air on that end and also mentioned a few schools that may be close to offering.
With four of Giddins’ offers coming from schools inside the state of Florida some have believe that it will be tough to get the 4-star prospect out of the Sunshine State.
Is that the case?
“I’m giving all of the schools an opportunity to recruit me so I really don’t have a Top 5 or a Top 4 or anything like that,” he said. “I’m leaving everything open to see who all offers before I do anything.”
“To tell you the truth I really don’t know if I want to stay in-state or leave,” Giddins added. “My family wants me to stay in-state so they can watch me play but they also tell me to go wherever makes me happy and where I’m comfortable.”
This summer, Giddins knows of one unofficial visit he wants to take but there may be some traveling on his agenda.
“I want to visit LSU and maybe Auburn but other than that I don’t have any more trips planned,” he said.
What has him interested in taking a trip to the Bayou State?
“Coach (Earl) Lane told me how much they liked me and although I haven’t talked to him in a while I still want to go check them out,” Giddins said. “Their rep for turning out defensive linemen is the best I’ve seen so far. “Glenn Dorsey, the defensive tackle, was a beast and if they can make him into the player he was then they could make someone else into something even better.”
