Sentimore checked in at 6/2 ½, 266 pounds and he turned in the top overall performance for linemen in the testing phase of the Combine.
The nation’s 13th ranked defensive tackle ran a 4.82 in the 40 yard dash, followed that up with a 7.72 in the 3-Cone Drill, and then registered a 33” vertical.
Those were some impressive numbers that he posted but how did Sentimore feel about the day’s action?
“I thought the combine was very exciting and that there was a lot of talent out there,” Sentimore said. “I thought I did very good but I could have worked harder throughout all of the drills and ran a better 40-time. Overall, I think I did pretty good though.”
Sentimore has a nice collection of offers under his belt and in fact he has too many to recall them all.
With the offers that he has picked up, Sentimore said that two schools are at the top of his list even though one has yet to extend a scholarship offer.
“Alabama and maybe, well no, LSU too,” he said. “LSU hasn’t offered but eventually they will.”
What stands out with his two favorites?
Alabama—“I don’t know really what it is but I like them. I like the tradition they have and coach Nick Saban too.”
LSU—“They have the championships and I’d like to have one of them under my belt. It’s the hometown school too.”
There has been a lot of talk about Sentimore’s academic situation and where he stands so he gave us some information on where he is in the classroom.
“I have a 2.4 right now but I’m picking that up right now and I’m taking the ACT in June,” he said. “I’m not qualified yet but I will be.”
