Lynn Raking in Offers

One of the very best cornerback prospects in the country is Gabe Lynn from Jenks High School in Oklahoma. If his measurables, stats, and highlight tapes don't impress you, the names of the schools attempting to land him surely will.

"I have somewhere around 30 offers right now," Lynn said. "I'm really still interested in all the schools recruiting me. I'm planning on narrowing them down to a smaller list at the end of the summer. But if I had to name some of the schools right now, they would be LSU, Miami, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and USC."

Narrowing his list down at the end of the summer meant Lynn would be on the rode a lot during the summer visiting some of the schools he is considering.

"I've been to North Carolina, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Arkansas," he said. "I had a good time at all of them, and got to see the differences between them. They were all good visits, and I got a long with all the coaches. I still have to go to the LSU camp later in July, and I might try to visit Texas. After I come back from the LSU camp is when I'll be narrowing my list."

Fortunately for the LSU coaches and fans, the 6-1, 185 pound lockdown corner seems to have a legitimate interest in the Tigers.

"They're the defending national champions," the 5 star prospect said of his interest in the Tigers. "They are known for having one of the best defenses in the country. I like their defensive intensity. And it just seems like it would be a fun place to play. I've never been to LSU before, so I'm excited to see what it's all about."

According to Lynn, he is contact with the LSU coaches almost daily.

"We email each other just about every day," said the nation's #2 ranked cornerback. "Coach Henson is my recruiting coach. I talked to him on the phone last week. He is from Oklahoma, so he knows what's going on up here. I've spoken to Coach Mallory a few times too. We talk about how I would fit in the defense and everything, but also about other things outside football."

Lynn seems to have a good handle on the recruiting process thus far, and he's planning on having to maintain that grip for only a few more months.

"Hopefully I'll be ready to commit early in the season," Lynn said. "I want to take a few visits during the season before I that though, because once I commit then I'll be done. I'll probably take unofficial visits to schools closer to my area just because they are easy to get to. Then I'll go to further away places like USC for official visits. I might take an official visit to LSU, too. I hear a lot about LSU's game day experience, so I want to try and come check that out."
