Back on the road

Rayville (La.) wide receiver Kenny Bell took an unofficial visit to LSU on Sunday and he left Baton Rouge at lunchtime on Monday heading to Tuscaloosa with a couple of his teammates as they take part in the Crimson Tide's camp.

Bell (6-1, 170, 4.4) had been to LSU several times over the years so what was this latest trip all about?

"I really just wanted to see it one more time and to get to hang out with my teammates and talk to the coaches again," said the 4-star wide out. "I also wanted to spend some time with Murphy (Richard) and Chris (Tolliver).

While on campus, Bell spent a little one-on-one time with Les Miles and also the Tigers' receivers coach.

"I talked to coach Miles for a while and we talked about how he wants me to come to LSU and I would be a good fit in their offense," said Bell. "Coach McCarthy said he hopes he has the opportunity to coach me and how much he was looking forward to having that chance."

Next up for the standout receiver is his trip to Alabama and once he gets home it will be time to focus on the immediate and the distant future.

"I think I'm through with visits after I get home so I'll just focus on my getting legs back," he said. "I'm still going to make my decision in August and it's still the same schools I'm looking at."
