Wooten is a Tiger

Scout.com 4-star receiver Rontavious Wooten had said repeatedly that he would let the cat out of the bag on August 29 on which school he was committing to but a recent offer from Florida made some think that he would delay his decision. The 29th finally arrived and the Belle Glade (Fla.) Glades Central wide out revealed his choice.

Belle Glade, Fla. - Rontavious Wooten a four star wide receiver by Scout from Glades Central High School has made his decision.

"It's LSU," a focused Wooten said via text message as he's preparing for tonight's game vs. Dillard.

Wooten is the 28th ranked receiver in the land and he had offers from some of the country’s top programs including Michigan, Georgia, Florida, and many others.

As a junior he had over 1,400 yards rushing and receiving while splitting time at quarterback and receiver, and he found the endzone 14 times.

He is a big-play threat with the ball in his hands and has earned a lot of respect from those who have coached him.

"Speed.. Hands... He's the total package," said Glades Central Athletic Director Henry Cook. "He's just a great kid. I've dealt with a lot of kids, and he's really a great kid. I would compare him to a guy like Steve Smith of the Panthers, because he's a smaller receiver, but he's plays huge. He can do it all. He can be a possession receiver, a deep threat, he can do whatever you need."
