Georgia boys are solid

All week long, LSU commit Kevin Minter and his buddies at Peachtree Ridge were going back and forth over who was going to win the LSU-Georgia contest. Nearly all of Minter's friends root for the hometown Bulldogs so needless to say his phone was getting lit up on Saturday afternoon.

“Oh my God, they were texting me all game and calling me,” Minter said with a laugh. “It should be an interesting week at school.”

The trip to Baton Rouge was not a first for Minter as he had made it to town a few times since February.

It was, however, his fist opportunity to see a game in Tiger Stadium.

“I had pretty much seen everything before but this was my first time going to a game and that was really cool,” he said. “Everybody had told me that it was going to be crazy down there with all of the fans and all of the people so I really wasn’t surprised. It was impressive though to see the crowd like that.”

Minter said that he spent some time talking with fellow Peach State-native Drayton Calhoun, who is also committed to the Tigers, and the two shared the same view on what happened.

“We both thought that they just really didn’t come out to play,” said Minter. “But we still love it down there and we aren’t going anywhere else. LSU is where we will be.”

Both Minter and Calhoun had planned on enrolling at LSU in January and if things go as planned the two will be taking part in spring practice together.

“We’re both graduating in December and will be down there together,” said Minter.
